Wonder of Wonders: A Mainstream Media Co. Offers Multimedia Embed Codes

Just noticed this on a Kaid Benfield Switchboard post:

Bravo, Washington Post! It never fails to annoy the hell out of me when major media sources — for starters NPR, most of the TV news networks (I think CNN is now an exception), the New York Times — don’t provide an embeddable multimedia player for bloggers. I’m thrilled to help the ailing news biz by sending traffic to their sites but I also really appreciate it when they make changes to better fit into the social web’s interlinked ecosystem.

  • How about Comedy Central?
  • Good one. And of course Colbert in particular has famously benefited from viral distribution of his clips.
